Play Mozart – Android App – English

Background

In 1787, Mozart designed a musical game based on playing a minuet choosing each one of the 32 compasses from the result of throwing two dices for the first 16 compasses (minuet) and 1 dice for the last 16 (the Trio part). For this purpose Mozart wrote 11 different alternatives for each one of the 16 minuet´s compasses and 6 different alternatives for the 16 Trio compasses. This gives a total of (11^16)*(6^16) different alternatives. If you make the calculations you will notice that the probability of playing the same piece twice is almost zero.
